Self-acceptance is one of the most important quality that a person should have, because to get to another level you should first embrace both your physical and mental aspects. Some people go through life hating themselves and not accepting the way they are, which lead them to a situation of depression and stagnation.
No one can dare to negate that change and progress are recommended, to get successful in life you will need some new knowledge and some new skills to create some new opportunities, but you can't get those things if you are not in peace with yourself, and the only way to conquer this peace is by accepting your life as it is. Accept your skin color, your nation, your culture...because we are so lucky to live in an era where great people are only known by what they make, and not by where they come from. The only thing that describes you is your effort. The single way to make people recognize you is by contributing. So stop getting depressed about the color of your skin, the country you live in or the way you look, because the creator of this universe gave us the most powerful tool, which is the mind, and the one change you need is in your mind, as I said before: the life we get is only a reflexion of our thoughts, so change your thoughts to change things around you. But most people cannot afford understanding that. Some think that the only way is by being at the other side, so they spend their whole lives waiting or an opportunity and weaken their true abilities. Yeah ! each one of us has some great abilities, yet people rather finishing on some dead-end career which they will hate the rest of their lives, than using their fucking mind to find a way to emerge their true potential. Others hate how they look and they never start trusting themselves and their abilities, they think that the world will never accept them as they are, so let me tell you this, the world will never accept you, unless you accept yourself. The world will never trust someone who does not even trust himself, and to impress people you should first impress yourself. and by doing that, and only by doing that, the world will be yours.
